ある青年に手紙を書き始める寺田ナズナ。24年前、17歳の彼女は、いつも同じ電車で見かける高校生の富久信介に密かな想いを抱いていた。プロボクサーを目指す信介は学校帰りにボクシングの練習に打ち込んでいたが、そんな彼に運命の日の2000年3月8日が訪れる。2024年にナズナから届いた手紙を読んだ信介の父の隆治は手紙のなかに亡くなった息子の生きた証を感じ、彼の青春の日々を知る。やがて隆治はナズナに手紙を綴り始めるが、しだいに24年前の真実とナズナが手紙を書いた理由が明らかになっていく。
